What is the main message to government for enhancing public education?

As the issue of government support for parental choice in education continues to be considered in Ontario, there should be a clear message for the general population in this province.

1. Government's obligation to provide for the education of the public should include financial support for independent schools.
2. Legislation must find the proper balance between the integrity and autonomy of independent school and the public's appropriate need for accountability.
3. Independent schools must remain true to their purposes, and authentically live out their mission statements.
